A couple of other things of potential interest to Ken and others with Rusyn ancestry in what's now Poland. The three-volume set-- _Knyha pam'iati Lemkivshchyny, 1944-1946) (L'viv, 2016) lists the names of all those who were deported by the Polish authorities to Ukraine at this time. Volume three (p. 647-51) includes the village of Czaszyn. All these people were sent either to Ternopil'ska oblast' (Ternopil' Province) or L'vivska oblast' (L'viv Province) in Ukraine. The listing of names of the deportees for each villages includes date of birth, house number and occupation.

Bogdan Horbal's very helpful recent reference work: _Lemko Studies: A Handbook_ (NY, 2010) includes a listing (Appendix II) of research studies on individual villages which also can be helpful in finding out more about the history of your ancestral village. In this case, Czaszyn was listed but unfortunately without a any studies identified.
