Also belong to Fayette County Historical Society (PA). Lifetime member of Dunbar Historical Society (, Fayette County PA, near Uniontown). Born in Connellsville. Graduated from Monessen High School, Westmoreland Co.
One DNA match on their Family Tree has Katalin STANISLAV (1848-?) married to Michaael MARGETKO (1848-?). They had a daughter Mary MARGETKO (b1884 in Cz; d. 1953 in New Salem, Fayette County PA).
I have distant 5th-8th DNA cousins (6 to 20 centimorgans) and 4th DNA cousins with surnames FABIAN, JUREK (from Porac, married to a HUMANIC), LESKO (from Velyki Luchky and Westmoreland Co. PA), KACHMAR (I collaborate with 13 cM DNA match on Ancestry), KRAK/KRALJ married to JUHASZ, BELEJ (born in Jasyna Poland, died in Johnstown, Cambria Co. PA).
My Ancestry DNA ethnicity profile is 91% E. Europe, 9% Germanic Europe.
Many above DNA matches have high E. Europe % and/or Germanic % profiles.
Three grandparents were born near Kosice and Stare in Slovakia. 4th near Uzhhorod, Ukraine. These areas in Austria Hungary sometimes called Galicia.
Paternal grandfather was born 1892 near Kosice, about 25 miles Southeast of Porac and Rudenany, Slovakia.

Ancestry recently introduced ThruLines. It posits common ancestors from family trees for members that share DNA. My Heritage recently introduced Theory of Family Relativity that does a similar thing. VERY HELPFUL.
