David, sad to see both of your "apparently hacked" messages that I just reviewed in the "discussion-forum" entry you sent on "living in a digital world".

And the corrupted, appended text, in each has ".com> running texts, and what appears to be "programming language entries". 

And as for on-line security, over the past year have been an observer of Hungarian Greek Catholic liturgical videos.  And unfortunately, I am now..., for over a year, plagued with daily g-mail 's from scammers.  And some of which, if your scroll way down, their message sent also appears to have been sent to others, an example for "less knowledgeable members" to use, as if it's if it's a club membership. and of course, with scrupulous g-mail ties.  

As an example, one just recently came from an educated Hungarian with a doctor's degree in some kind of social studies, and to whom, instead of the automatic "delete", I decided to reply.  And did so in Hungarian, using a free, on-line translator, and telling him how I felt about his engaging in such activities!  And so far, have not received one from him since.

And some received are crudely prepared with invites and "easily identified" as bogus word of winning prizes.  And some, poor souls, with crudely prepared facsimiles of US logos, like ACE, Kohl's, etc.  And easily detected as scammers, with their "g-mail.com" addresses.  And others, like the aforementioned doctor, had the similar ".org" sourcing,

For the Hungarian ones, I feel sorry for them in having to engage in this activity, and more so, as having grandparents of Hungarian ancestry, plus a Carpathian-Rusyn grandmother, who immigrated from a village due east of Kosice. 

And even more so, for as I read and surmise, the current Hungarian leadership is still retaining international ties and favorable associations with Putin's Russia, and his (description un-mentionable here) on-going fight with the Ukrainians.

As for on-line anti-virus, and website monitoring protection, my suggestion, after years of solid protection..., other than paying extra to stop these g-mail hackers, is to subscribe to Norton's 360 protection.  It can be done on-line!

They have this "Norton Utilities" tool that you can easily use daily to analyze internet junk files, registry issues, computer status, etc.  And another to do daily virus updates.  And also, the dangerous website protection provided.  And can testify it's been many times, in reviewing East European music and dancing videos, on YouTube, that on their sidebar offers, are some that Norton hts you with their "red screen forbidden website "pop-up. 

Bottom line, it's worth the added price for the added protection features Norton 360 offers.

A few months ago, Maryann Sivak, former President of C-RS, called me when she realized were are related based on her genealogy research.  Recently, I tried to reach her.  Unexpectedly, her name and contact information is no longer on C-RS.

I wanted to reach Sharon Jarrow to see if she could connect me to Maryann.  I tried Sharon's C-RS link for leaders and by email or phone from the C-RS membership list.  The phone is not a working number.  Not sure her email works.

Spam and hackers have made it difficult for "real" people to communicate.  Seems like the situation is getting worse.  I understand, but people still need to interact.

I've traveled to Russia, China and the Middle East.  I use top line security on my computers, but this can also make it difficult to communicate.

I'm not sure there is an answer to communication difficulties today.
