Many thanks to Fr. Alexiev and Tom and Kathryn Peters for responding. Thanks to Tom my questions have been answered when multiple genealogical sites could not help me. Thanks also to C-RS for sponsoring this forum.

    Mary:

There was a Frank Ferrence in Carbondale who passed in 2014. He belonged to my late wife's home parish in Simpson, PA near Carbondale. It is St. Basil Russian Orthodox church. I don't know much about him, because I haven't been there since 1998. My wife and her older siblings are gone now; Frank was 87 when he passed and left no children. Hope this helps.

    Mary,

I have worked on these families before.  Mike Parany born ca 1921 was a friend of my father.  I have much material.  Send me an email and I can send you quite a bit.  rusyn1947@gmail.com.

Have tried several genealogy sites to locate info about my paternal grandmother, Mary Klemensky, later Mary Parany. Thought we’d identified her as the daughter of Wasil Ferrence and Annie Lakata in Carbon County, PA but age was verified by 1910 Census and it didn’t match Mary’s age (born about 1905), also she was listed as Wasil’s daughter in law, not his daughter as we thought. She did sign official requests for maiden name as Mary Ference. If anyone can help us climb out of this rabbit hole with any info about Mary or her sons, Elmer and Michael, or sister Veronica Ference Locicero we’d appreciate it. Other geographic locations were Passaic and Flemington, NJ. Thank you.
