The lemko.org website has a fairly comprehensive list of Lemko surnames which will also give you villages. I've found it very useful.

Thank you, Marcel! I have only recently discovered my Carpatho-Rusyn lineage and am trying to learn as much as I can. I appreciate the suggestions of resources, thank you for sharing!

Since I discovered my Rusyn ancestors a couple years ago, I've been searching around the internet and found several sites that may be of interest: If you type in your browser, "Carpatho Rusyn", there are several sites that come up, some more detailed than others but all can give you some great information. The Carparthian Connection, the Carpatho Rusyn Knowledge Base cover a great deal of information regarding traditions and customs etc.

Hello, I’m trying to figure out if my family was Lemko, Boiko, or Hutsul. Both lines lived a little outside the map of Subcarpathian Rus’. One line was from Stryi, Ukraine and the other from Vernar, Slovakia. I’m assuming the Slovakia line were likely Lemkos? Any thoughts or ideas for how I might learn more are welcome! Thank you.
